We took my mom to a small village in the hills of Himachal to escape the scorching summer of the Indian plains. The climate there was just perfect and it made for the best family vacation I've ever had in India. One morning we decided to explore the village and the nearby hill on our own and left Annika with my mom. It was the first time in a long while that my husband and I got to spend some time on our own. The Himalayas are magical and watching the majestic mountains was such a therapeutic experience in itself. The rest of the day was so peaceful with us relaxing and enjoying food at our homestay at Hill Abode, Laida. I hope you enjoy our little family adventure from a day in our lives in Himachal :)
