As a result of French President Emmanuel Macron's decision to dissolve the National Assembly following his defeat in the European Parliament (EP) elections, the fact that the far-right National Union (RN) party will come first in the early elections to be held tomorrow worries the suburban residents.
After RN came first by a clear margin in the French leg of the EP elections, Macron dissolved the National Assembly and decided to hold early general elections on 30 June-7 July.
Macron's decision to take this decision despite the fact that his rival RN came out as the first party in the polls caused a reaction among the French people who did not give the power to the far right during the 5th Republic period in the country.
The immigration and economic policies that the party in question promises to put into effect when it comes to power cause anxiety in a significant segment of the country, especially foreigners.
In the election, the first round of which will be held tomorrow, the French will go to the polls to determine the 577 deputies who will represent them for 5 years.
In Saint-Denis, one of the largest suburbs of Paris, where a significant part of the population consists of immigrants and foreigners, AA reporter handed the microphone to the people as well as the parliamentary candidates in the region in order to keep the pulse of the election.
