Hurricane Helene wreaked havoc on much of western NC and the broader Appalachian Mountains. While there is still much work to do and people that need help, many anglers in this region have wondered...is the trout fishing ruined? Are the rivers completely blown out? Will there be any stocking for the foreseeable future?

Levi and Stephen took a trip up to a few areas this past Saturday October 12th to scout some popular rivers and talk to some guides at a couple fly shops, with the goal to deliver an accurate report of what we can expect now and moving forward for trout fishing in NC. We hope this is helpful and insightful!
