A true icon, the Renault 4 was born in the 1960s to meet the needs of a
society in full evolution, between rural exodus, the birth of the middle class and the new role
of women. It aims to be the car for everyone, for all uses and a symbol of freedom.
Announced at the Mondial de l'Auto in 2022 as the 4EVER Trophy show car, Renault 4
E-Tech electric draws on the DNA of the original model to reinvent itself as a
multipurpose compact of today. 100% electric and connected, it is more than ever
a "car to live in" and even more, an everyday adventurer. Always open to the

world with its canvas sunroof, it will appeal to the greatest number with its retro-futuristic adventurer design and will adapt to everyone thanks to its modularity and its large trunk.

In tune with its time, Renault 4 E-Tech electric also rhymes with technology, whether it is
serving safety, with ADAS, as well as the driving experience and life on board,
with OpenR Link and the Reno avatar. Many features that will make it the compact electric
car of a whole new generation!
The silhouette of Renault 4 E-Tech electric displays ideal proportions for its
positioning at the top of the B segment. It is positioned as the compact electric vehicle
of versatility.
o Long while remaining compact at 4.14 m, it is between Clio (9 cm smaller) and
Captur (9 cm larger).
o It benefits from a wheelbase increased to 2.62 m to improve space on board.
o The width remains contained at 1.80 m. Enough to move around town without difficulty.
o With a height of 1.57 m, it is at the same level as Captur. But the difference
between the two is mainly in terms of ground clearance. That of Renault 4 E-Tech
electric peaks at 18.1 cm, or 1.2 cm higher than Captur.

The nods to the design of the original Renault 4 are numerous on this Renault 4 E-Tech
electric and scattered everywhere. This is why when you look at this car, something is
always happening and you always discover a detail that you had not necessarily seen.
o The lines of the hood plunge on each side, down to the bottom of the grille, to give
the first a horizontal appearance and the second a very vertical shape, like the
model of yesteryear.
o The decorations on the top of the hood are reminiscent of the grille that the Renault 4 had in the
60s.
o At the front and rear, the bumpers are adorned at each end with a bumper. A
design element that refers to the hooks that held the bumpers of the
original Renault 4. Unlike the latter, they can be personalized with
decorative accessories.
o On the side, the quarter window immediately catches the eye. It is an
emblematic element of the historic model and it had to be preserved and reinterpreted. Located
behind the headrests, its presence brings a very successful style effect, with
a little visual surprise to discover when approaching.
o On the side again, three identity stripes are sculpted into the bodywork
of the doors. They are reminiscent of the plastic protections of the Renault 4 GTL of yesteryear, except that here they undeniably take a leap into the future.
o On the side, the diagonal of the windshield continues with the help of customization
decorations positioned at the wings (depending on the version). We can read "Renault ElectriCity" and "Manufacture de Maubeuge", nods to the vehicle's
place of production.
o As for the roof, it reconnects with the emblematic design of the historic model but is adorned
with something new: roof bars.
o Finally, at the rear, the past is found in the lights that take up the famous capsule shape. But also in the straight lines of the tailgate. A tailgate that will hide itself
right in the bumper. Guaranteed wow effect when it is opened.
Volume and an ultra-low loading threshold
To achieve this objective, it was first necessary to enlarge the tailgate opening as much as possible. If the
proportions of the car made it easy to increase the dimensions, the lights had to be
positioned on the bodywork.
The tailgate goes down to the bumper, offering a
record loading threshold: only 61 cm high, it is 10 cm lower, on average, than the
competition!
Plein Sud: a bold canvas sunroof
A strong element of the Renault 4 E-Tech electric design, the canvas sunroof gives another
face to this model. This is why in this configuration, the vehicle takes the name Plein
Sud. Here too we can see a nod to the R4 of the 60s and in particular to its Plein
Air version. It is available in black on two finishes, Techno and Iconic. In addition to the roof bars which
disappear to maximize the opening surface, we also note the absence of an antenna. This
has been integrated into the rear window.
