Betsukai Town, located in Hokkaido’s Nemuro Subprefecture, is known for its dairy farming and fishing industries. High-quality milk from free-grazing cows is distributed nationwide, and local specialties like salmon and scallops are widely appreciated. Betsukai is a popular tourist destination, offering wildlife sightings in winter, including the Shima-Enaga bird and Ezo deer. In warmer months, visitors can enjoy camping and hiking. The town is also famous as the birthplace of the local dish “Escalope.”
別海町（べつかいちょう）は北海道根室振興局にある町で、酪農と水産業が盛んです。広大な牧草地で放牧された牛から生産されるミルクは全国に供給され、品質の高さで知られています。また、サケやホタテなどの海産物も名産です。観光地としても人気があり、冬にはシマエナガやエゾシカなどの野生動物が見られ、春から秋にはキャンプやハイキングが楽しめます。さらに、別海町は地元名物「エスカロップ」の発祥地としても知られています。
