Race car splitters are disposable because if your not ripping them off once and a while your not driving hard enough! Since we are not the factory BMW Motorsport Division race team, we make them out of 10mm Alumalite. This material is great because it's cheap (compared to carbon), stiff, and easy to work with at home. It can be found online but also can be ordered at most local sign shops.
