I’d also suggest to use mask as you mix plaster, as long term exposure to plaster may cause silicosis. Silicosis is a form of occupational lung disease caused by inhalation of crystalline silica dust, present in plaster.

I'd also suggest using gloves; I've personally started using them just recently while using plaster, as it may cause dyshidrosis. Dyshidrosis is a skin condition that causes small, fluid-filled blisters to form on the palms of the hands and sides of the fingers. Hydrate your skin, take good care of your hands.
