The opening of the Cetina bridge, the most interesting part of the Omiš bypass road project. The Cetina bridge above the river Cetina spans 152 meters. This marks the completion of the first phase of the Omiš bypass road from Omiš to Split. The construction of the bypass road comes with some controversy due to the current road which will be used until the new fast road from Split to Omiš is constructed. The current road that'll be used as a bypass for the Split - Omiš coastal road will be the "Mosor road" a road the goes in parallel with the coastal road but it is going threw the Mosor mountain. And the people who live close to the that road are complaining for the future increase of traffic and noise until the fast road is constructed in a couple of years.
