Located in Goldstream Provincial Park, the Mount Finlayson hike is one of British Columbia's steepest and most popular trails, offering spectacular views of the Langford area. The trailhead starts across a bridge near the day-use area. Following a smooth path through the forest, the trail climbs steeply, passing through an old logging road, a small wooden bridge, and exposed rock sections requiring hand scrambles. The peak offers breathtaking vistas. The descent follows the same route, with careful attention needed on loose rocks and trail markers.
