The Clerk of the Parliaments announces the result of two hereditary peer by-elections in the chamber of the House of Lords.

*In the whole House by-election to replace Lord Ampthill, the successful candidate was Viscount Colville of Culross
*In the Conservative hereditary peer by-election to replace the Earl of Onslow, the successful candidate was Lord Ashton of Hyde
