Once a thriving toy hub, the town of #Channapatna in southern #India is witnessing a drastic fall in sales of wooden #toys. The 200-year-old #lacquerware industry has only 1,500 traditional artisans left and many more are now leaving as there isn't sustained income. A social enterprise is trying to revive the dying toy craft focusing on modern designs and sustainable livelihoods. Will it rescue this dying toy craft?
