Brett and John Hayes of Zeus Digital Theaters in Waynesboro, Va., share how roof-mounted solar panels installed with Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) funding are helping keep the entertainment venue operating at peak efficiency to curb “blockbuster” electric bills. The 538 solar panels and four inverters in the 241kw system feed all the loads running in the theater and send energy back to the grid when the system generates more power than the building needs, actually moving the meter backwards!
