Usually when you're not around the game will skip some of the scripts like NPC conversations. This is something completely opposite.
This is the most well hidden scripted scene in Closing Statement mission story in Mendoza to the point which suggest it was specifically made like that for no particular reason.
The Farewell mission has the most complex and interconnected set of scripted events that includes two complete mission stories and another scripted event that could as well be a mission story, and all of that with multiple different paths that lead to the mid point and the conclusion as well as ton of kill opportunities in the meantime.
