Hilary Hahn is an American violinist born on November 27, 1979, in Lexington, Virginia. She began playing the violin at the age of three and made her solo debut with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra at the age of eleven.

Hahn is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where she studied under the renowned violin teacher Jascha Brodsky. She has received numerous awards and honors throughout her career, including three Grammy Awards and the Avery Fisher Prize in 2001, which is one of the highest honors for American classical musicians.

Hahn is known for her virtuosic performances and her ability to play a wide range of musical styles. She has collaborated with many leading conductors and orchestras, and has premiered works by a number of contemporary composers, including Jennifer Higdon, James Newton Howard, and Einojuhani Rautavaara.

In addition to her performances, Hahn is an advocate for music education and has been involved in a number of projects to promote classical music to a wider audience. She is also known for her active presence on social media and her engagement with fans and followers around the world.
