To commemorate Coronation Street's 30th anniversary In 1990, ten VHS tapes were released. Each video featured four episodes from a specific year and was introduced by a character who was heavily featured in the stories of that year.

The 1974 video was introduced by Betty Driver (Betty Turpin, later Williams).
