This is New Zealand. This is why we came. We stumbled across the best campsite ever. Truly stumbled across. After we stopped in Te Anau to get the Wildness Motorhome window fixed we decided to pass on the expensive holiday parks and make some progress toward Milford Sound. We found a great free camping option with no data coverage and the boys were persistent to leave. We drove up the road a bit further and found a decent site, but Trish suggested we keep driving a bit more. Then we found Deer Flat Campsite. Not only were the views gorgeous, but the boys found a rope swing and we enjoyed a glass of wine on the picnic table.
