In the fall of 2018 I had my first major manic episode, and during that time there was a short period where I did not sleep at all. I’m not sure how many days passed, but I know that eventually, I experienced psychosis due to sleep deprivation that was way worse—and different—than the rest of my psychotic symptoms during this time.

So this is my story about how my schizoaffective self managed to get so sleep deprived that she hallucinated in a whole new way.
