Until now, I have not enjoyed using paint pens (like Posca) on card stock paper. What changed? I discovered an acrylic painting technique that made the painting process so much more effective and enjoyable. While watching a surfboard artist named Brophy Art Academy, I saw that he preps his surfaces with a spray varnish, so I decided to do the same. Pulling out my Krylon fixatifs and varnishes, I prepped my paper and began to paint…and wow, what a difference one of the 4 products I tested made! This is likely to become an art supply you didn't know you needed.
