Join me for the Hard Alpi Tour. This is one of the longest and most scenic off-road rallies for larger adv style motorcycles in Europe. This video will show you the full behind the scenes from the start line of the 36 hour HAT - Hard Alpi Tour event covering 760km across northern Italy in one go. I'm riding the Pan America, an adventure bike never before seen at this OVER2000RIDERS event in a team of three with hubby Ruckymonster [riding a Harley-Davidson Pan America] and bestie Anika [riding my Honda CRF 450 RX].

We've had a rough start with the Honda having a major fuel tank leak on the hot drive down. But thankfully that was sorted and ready for the 11pm start...yes despite being 80% off road the Extreme class starts at night...

What is the Hard Alpi Tour aka the HAT:
It’s an tour with 80% off road terrain in northern Italy with multiple classes ranging on distance and time. We entered the Extreme which ish 760km in 36 hours.

About the Harley-Davidson Pan America:
How heavily did I have to modify the Harley-Davidson Pan America to make it handle a 36 hour Hard Alpi Tour Extreme 780km event? Here you go:
Changed the rubber to my favourite adv Michelin Motorcycle Anakee Wilds for the best traction
Added OEM Harley LED lights on front bars
Strapped on Mosko Moto Reckless 40 panniers for my sleeping and bivi bag, and road snacks
Screwed on a Peak Design phone mount
Downloaded the Harley navigation app to load the events GPX file straight to the bikes screen
Paired up our Cardo Systems intercoms for the ultimate banter
Carried charging cables and power banks to recharge lights / phones on the road
Turned off HD traction control and selected off road mode
Then...it was all down to me!
