Old Airport Road Hawker Centre Reopens after 4-Month Renovation | October 1, 2024

Welcome to the newly renovated Old Airport Road Hawker Centre! After being closed for renovations from June 1 to September 30, 2024, Block 51 Old Airport Road is back and better than ever. Today, October 1, marks its grand reopening, and I’m here to give you a tour of the refreshed hawker centre and the shopping mall on the second floor.

Major improvements have been made, including fresh paint in the common areas, retiling of the ground floor, brand-new tables and stools, and enhanced indoor pigeon management with bird spikes and netting. The addition of 21 High Volume Low Speed (HVLS) fans and upgraded lighting makes the dining experience more comfortable. The toilets have also been upgraded, and a new odor control system has been installed.
