This is a documentary short that I put together for Portland Media Center as part of a fundraising event.

This story delves into the fascinating life of Portland local, Derek O'Brien. In 2005 Derek suffered a catastrophic spinal injury that led to him becoming paralyzed and left with a traumatic brain injury. His life has never been the same since that fateful moment, yet through it all, his passion for photography has never wavered.
