Snowboard tips to help you be successful on your first rail. Rails are a more advanced feature in terrain park and are key if you want to get into doing more advanced snowboard tricks.
Before attempting rails you should first have boxes mastered. There are many different types of boxes to challenge your snowboarding skills and prepare you for rails. You should have at least 10 tricks on box in your trick list before attempting any rail.
When you first attempt a rail you want to find the easiest one possible. We had this rail in our beginner park which is perfect for learning. But a lot of parks won't have a rail this small and you'll probably have to start on something bigger.
To overcome any fears of hitting your first rail, just remember that it's all in the preparation. Put in the time learning tricks on boxes and improving your overall riding skills. Review these tips and keep them fresh in your head for when you're ready to attempt your first rail. Check out the playlist for more videos on box and rail tricks.
