Having first burst onto the scene in 2020 with her debut album ‘Gore’, Congolese-Belgian singer Lous and the Yakuza’s second album ‘Iota’ is out. And that’s great news!

‘Iota’, is a 12-tracks album produced by Spain's El Guincho and featuring the likes of Belgian-Congolese rapper Damso and Gabonese rapper Benjamin Epps. With this second album, Lous continues to take the global music scene by storm through her soulful compositions. Using music to reflect on lifetime experiences, ‘Iota’ tackles themes of friendship, love and faith. Flitting between singing and rapping, this genre-free album threads together neo-soul, electro-pop and hip-hop, with chill melodies, lyrical flows and cutting phrases.

In her compositions, Lous creates a balance between light and dark by reflecting on herself in her lyrics. This investigation of her own identity led Lous to the amazing singer she is today. A unique multidisciplinary artist with an authentic voice. Her strength lies in her ability to be both vulnerable and true.

Expanding the musical scope of the global sound, this album allows Lous’ different vocal styles to shine. Majesty in the song writing, elegance in the compositions, Lous works her magic and pulls listeners in her music in ways that transcend language. You may not recognize all the words but you will certainly be moved by these beautiful songs.
