We wanted a decent stop over en-route to our next destination in India and the desert town of Bikaner appeared to be the perfect spot. We caught a train from Jaisalmer here, and then had one night before we had to head off again.

This short visit didn't stop us from soaking up the amazing day and night time atmosphere of this rarely touristed location. We visited yet another beautiful Rajasthani Fort, found some beautiful havelis in the old town, and of course enjoyed our small taste of the food scene.

That evening we caught an overnight bus, and headed north.

Al, from New Zealand and Kel from Australia met through work in 2010 and have been together ever since.
