Coming up next, one of my favorite singers ever and one of the most celebrated singer-songwriters of the past 50 years, Daryl Hall tells us the stories of many of his biggest hits. First of all, Daryl Hall and John Oates dominated the 80s with the most hits of the decade. But the #1 hit that set it all up, Rich Girl, happened in the 70s and it was a doozy. It had a swear word in it and it riled up radio pretty good. In fact Rich Girl became the first #1 hit to have bleeps in it. We also talk about several of Daryl's hits that were inspirations for Van Halen and Micheal Jackson’s two biggest hits, as well as his new record D. And the hits I Can't Go For That and you Make My Dreams, Get ready for a conversation with one of the greats next on Professor of Rock.

Hey Music Junkies, Professor of Rock , always here to celebrate the greatest artists and songs of all time, if you felt sorry for Nells Olson being married to that Witch Harriet Olson on Little House on the Prairie You’ll dig this channel of deep musical nostalgia . make sure to Subscribe below right now. to be a part of a community dedicated to the timeless music of the rock era. the stories straight from the legends….

I’m excited to bring you another episode from our series Revelations- where featured artists go deep on their greatest songs and albums. Methodical interviews on these songs with the artists you won’t find anywhere else and today is truly a vital episode. I had the honor of chatting with one of my favorite voices ever, a man who wrote or co-wrote and sang the most hits of the 80s. Mr. Dary Hall.

Today he gives us the inside scoop on their first hit Rich Girl which had by today’s standards a minor profanity with the word Bitch but that didn’t stop radio stations and censors from not playing it or taking the word out. Daryl tells us about that, he also tells us about the two hit songs that he and John Oates had in the early 80s that two other legends borrowed from heavily, In fact, Michael Jackson and Van Halen both told Daryl as much and Eddie even wanted Daryl to head up the band when David Lee Roth left. Daryl tells me his thoughts on that and then we get the story on a song that became a million-selling single without ever charting and the details of his new album D that you gotta hear. I’m excited to share this interview so let’s get into it.

Thanks for watching. Leave us a comment on your thoughts about the song and the interview. and what your take this song is… What are your memories of the association and this songs?
