In this video we add Lulu metal toe taps to a pair of brand new Edward Green leather shoes.

Installing metal toe plates or taps to leather shoes is an excellent way of preserving the toe portions of the leather soles. Much of the wear we see with mens leather shoes is often concentrated at the toes of leather soles which can be prevented by adding metal toe plates.

Most of our customers will have toe taps added straight after purchasing a new pair of leather shoes. The modification involves cutting into the leather soles before adding the plates with screws so they appear flush with the rest of the soles. Toe taps can also be combined with half rubber soles or TOPYs for greater sole protection.
