➡️ It's better late than never, but I'm finally hearing bassist Robert Trujillo before his tenure with Metallica! After a couple months of punk rock reactions, many of you have been requesting "Send Me Your Money" by Suicidal Tendencies (from their 1990 release "Lights...Camera...Revolution!), and I was truly stoked hearing that Rob can, in fact, shred on bass. He has such a naturally-funky rhythmic style, and it's great to see where it might've originated - even though he still holds back in the fold with Metallica. I talk about his percussive slap technique, a break down of his two RIPPING bass solos, his bass tone, and how this song truly surprised me with some catchy melodic goodness. Honorable mention to that KILLER drum performance (and production). I'm super intrigued to check out Infectious Grooves now...🤓🤘🏼
