This was my first time using the Green EZ Furniture Stripper. I recommend this be used on PAINT that needs to be removed. If you want to strip a stain, use the #greenezfinishingcleaner at full strength with a piece of fine steel wool. (I have a video of that too)

If I had been less impatient and applied the stripper more liberally and covered with plastic and allowed it to sit for at least 30 minutes to an hour, I think I would not have had to apply multiple layers of stripper. However, it did definitely work better on a single layer of paint as opposed to the likely layer of primer and two coats of blended chalk-style paint on this piece.

Overall, I’m happy with the results of this relatively nontoxic and environmentally friendly product. I should’ve used the nitrile black gloves for the Furniture Stripper instead of the vinyl gloves that I used with the Finishing Cleaner though.

The Green EZ finishing cleaner did a great job as usual. I did mix that about 70% stripper to 30% water.

Don’t forget that the most important thing when prepping is to RINSE whatever cleaner you used off multiple times! Often, if you have spots where your paint does not adhere, it’s because either you didn’t get off oils or grime when you were cleaning or you did not rinse your cleaning product and that’s left residue behind that prevents your paint from sticking. Priming (regardless if the paint says no prime) will always increase your chances of adherence and deterring bleed through (if you use a stain-eliminating primer)
