While we had always planned to enter Yellowstone National Park through the Roosevelt entrance, it was just not practical to add hours of driving just for this nostalgic moment. Thankfully Gardiner and Mammoth still had the special feel of a place rich in heritage and history. Not only that but the formations of the hot springs were among the most impressive natural features in the park.
