Ocala National Forest has its surprises….. like bears!!! Who would have thought there were bears in Florida!!
Hikers have a saying….”Early Bird gets a spiderweb to the face” VERY TRUE! If you wake up early…just as the sun is coming up…the forest shows you beauty that you cannot see at any other time of the day…… say like spiderwebs! For a VERY SHORT time the Forest covered in foggy mist transforms into a magical, beautiful, fairytale land!

SO BEAUTIFUL!!

BUT THERE IS A DARK, DIRTY, STINKY side to this forest! Unfortunately, it’s caused by man! HUMAN WASTE EVERYWHERE! Come prepared people!!!! Pack it in—Pack it out!!! My heart hurts for this location as it is only a matter of time before camping is shut down all together!
Until then, I hope you get to visit! There is a quiet beauty! You’ll need to be looking for it…and I hope you find it!
