Roatan went into lock down on March 17th 2020, we amazingly have zero cases of Covid 19 on the island, but with boarders shut many businesses have taken a huge hit from the loss of tourists.
Luckily for us, this means we have the entirety of West Bay beach to ourselves. We were able to take some tanks and head straight out onto the reef.
It was fantastic getting back in the water to see how full of life the reefs were, we even spotted our first Loggerhead turtle which is fairly rare to see here!
