Sorry for the long wait on this one! School started again, and I also encountered many technical difficulties that delayed making (or more specifically, finishing) music. It's all taken care of now though! (MP3 Download below!)

Onto the song! The Staff Roll in Mario 64 always seemed a bit underappreciated to me. It's a super nice tune, and it's very fitting for the end of the game, but I don't see many people talk about it (and maybe I haven't looked very hard, but I don't see remixes of the song often). The name "Just the Beginning" is meant to represent how although this played at the end of the game, Super Mario 64 as a whole marked the start of a new direction for the Mario series.

Also, I'm no longer on that $0 budget, haha. I bought the Orchestral Companion Strings plugin while they were on sale for literally one dollar, and I also got some studio headphones for Christmas. So if this song just sounds better in general, those are probably the reasons.
