In March 2024, while on vacation in Florida with family, my sister-in-law and I took off early one morning for nearby Myakka River State Park. We walked the Boylston Nature Trail and the Canopy Walkway then drove to Upper Myakka Lake and explored the Birdwalk before heading back toward the park exit and stopping at the bridge on the way out for lots of gator viewing. It's a beautiful park that I highly recommend visiting if you're in the Sarasota area.
