This is a live recording of the renowned Santoor maestro, Pt. Sandip Chatterjee, performing the exquisite morning Raag Bhupal Todi. The performance includes a traditional Alap followed by a middle-tempo composition in Rupak Taal and concludes with Drut Tin Taal. The tabla accompaniment by Shri Samir Nandy adds to the beauty of the performance.

Raag Bhupal Todi is a Hindustani classical raga that symbolises spiritual purity. It is an Audav raga, which means it uses the same five notes when ascending and descending. The raga uses all sharp notes, or Tivra, which are Sa Re Ga Pa Dha. It is traditionally performed in the morning, between 6–9 AM, during the spring season.
