I try to start each new year with at least a short, warm-up-the-oil local flight. As you’ll see in this video, the first day of 2024 offered serene views of the Puget Sound region on a hop from Boeing Field (KBFI) to Arlington (KAWO), north of Seattle.

This video also shows the Bellevue Departure, a standard VFR route used when leaving KBFI to the east-northeast, and the corresponding Bellevue Arrival, which provides an orderly VFR flow back into Boeing Field from the northeast.

Alas, there’s no ATC audio in this video. But I have noted key events. Enjoy the scenery.
