*How to get to "el Geiser"

If you visit the Geyser from Mexico City, take into account a 3-hour journey approximately.

From Mexico City

Take highway Mexico-Queretaro (Federal Highway 57)

Take the Huichapan exit on Kilometer 107.

You will pass by five different small towns named San Juanico, Maravillas, El Jaguey, Nopala and San Sebastian.

Approximately 5 minutes after passing San Sebastian you will run into another highway, take the right exit heading to Huichapan.

Before getting to Huichapan there's an intersection with 2 exits, one to Huichapan-San Jose Atlan and one to Pachuca, take the left one towards Pachuca, for approximately 5 mintutes. Ahead you will find a roundabout with a monument of Miguel Hidalgo. There take a left going towards Teconzautla.

In 5 minutes approximately, before getting to Tecozautla, there's a commuinity named Gandho, you will see the exit to "El Geiser" on your left.

Continue on that road for about 10 minutes and you will arrive to "El Geiser"

-In Public Transportation:

Go to the "Central de Autobuses del Norte" or to "Central de la Caseta de Tepozotlan"

Take a bus of Estrella Blanca bus line with destination Tecozautla, Hidalgo.

Once you get to Tecozaulta you can grab a cab or a "combi" (van) to take you to "El Geiser".

On Saturdays there's a ride that goes directly to "El Geiser" at 3:00 p.m. departing from the "Central de Autobuses del Norte"

If you visit form another location in Mexico, you can use Google Maps or Waze App to calculate your itinerary.

*What to do in "El Geiser"

The most important thing is to relax and disconnect from all your stress for a moment. You can enjoy this place with your friends, family or partner. We recommend that if you have children with you, be on the lookout of which pool they are about to get in, because the temperatures of the water are really high and it is not recommendable to dive-in for safety reasons.

- Enjoy the pools, the hot tubs, wadding and kiddie pools.
- Swim at night time to enjoy the temperature of the water even more.
- Visit the natural Spa created by the vapor that comes out from the volcanic vent known as Geyser.

- Go across all of their hanging bridges.

- At sunset go up to the highest hanging bridge and take some incredible photos.

- If you want to feel some adrenaline, go through the circuit of zip-lines, tight rope and floating bridge, which costs $150 pesos per person. (8 USD)

* Where to stay in "El Geiser"

- There are hotels, cabins and camping tent rental. The prices are from $250 pesos to $2,000 pesos, it depends on what type of room or cabin you choose and the number of people who will stay in it. Keep in mind that renting a room or a tent does not include the entrance fee.

If you want to camp using your own tent, you will only need to pay a fee that depends on the size of your tent. However, if you do not have a tent you can rent it right there. To find the updated costs of each room, cabin or tent; consult our blog http://www.viajefest.com/el-geiser

The room where we stayed cost $800 pesos plus a $200 pesos deposit, which you'll get back when you check-out and there are no damages. The room is for two people and it is simple, it has a full private bathroom with a closet and T.V. and towels.

*Where to eat in "El Geiser"

- There are 2 restaurants in the park that are open from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, but don't worry, there is a restaurant area outside where there's one open 24 hours, so if you get there late and you are hungry, there's a place for you to eat. The approximate cost per person is $120 pesos. We recommend you eat in the "Cocina #4" (kitchen #4) called "El Buen Sazon" (The Good Flavor) which really lives up to its name.

You can also bring your own food and drinks but do not bring alcoholic beverages and/or glass containers because they won't allow you to bring them in.
