It's easy to see God in the sunrise
when the day is full of possibilities
or in a vast sky full of stars
with limitless potential.
But God is also in the grey clouds
that grow heavy with rain,
although they can seem to obscure
the brilliant light behind them.
When I become silent and still,
I know that even during
storms of depression or anxiety,
God is still accessible,
always and everywhere present,
and my light is still shining.
