There are many ways to propagate the roses you like. The easiest way to propagate roses is by cuttings. I have one rose that blooms profusely and I like the color of the flowers. I want to have more roses like that. Neighbors are also interested in seedlings. That's no problem and here's what I'm going to do. To propagate roses, I cut a one-year shoot from the mother plant. This is done in late summer and early fall. It is possible to get more cuttings from that one shoot. My cuttings are about 20 cm long. I cut the lower part of the cutting diagonally with scissors, at an angle of 45 degrees. I cut the upper part of the cutting straight. I remove the lower leaves and thorns. The lower part of the cutting can be coated with cinnamon, which is good as a natural hormone for scarring cuttings. The upper part of the cutting can be coated with squid wax to protect and prevent the cutting from drying out.
