Heyo!!! In todays adventure we'll be tackling the Steamers. But not from the Gympie Gympie infested Mt Suberbus side, no!! We'll be going from the Emuvale side along Emu Creek Rd and Old Mill Rd. It's a longer drive if you're coming from Brisbane, but so much more fun.

Annoyingly the weather was not our friend and we considered bailing as climbing such things in the wet sucks quite a bit. But as i like to say "An adventure's an adventure even if it's a misadventure" I also say a lot of other crap, but i'm applying this one today.

This is a big hike, requiring navigation skillz and physical endurance. There's some steep, loose scrambles, and some exposure. You will also be isolated with minimal phone reception so make sure you have adequate food and water, a PLB, a headlamp, a navigation aid, and a positive attitude!

You will also need a 4wd or other capable high clearance vehicle. At the time of filming the trail was pretty torn up with a few muddy deep ruts, so you may need to park earlier and walk the rest of the way.
