Prepare Vada Pav at home in clean oil which does not upset your gut/tummy in the long run !!
I have eaten vada pav almost everyday during my two years in Mumbai:) I wanted to see if Krishna will like it too. I avoid outside food for Krishna as his tummy is sensitive to reused oil. I use cold pressed oil ; never reuse. Pav is NOT roasted for vada pav unlike in pav bhajis. Some prefer with mint or without green chutney.
He is nonverbal i.e. cannot speak from birth. I bond with him through his love for food prepared by me :)

Ingredients
For batata vadas-
Oil: 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds: 1/2 tsp
Small Potatoes: 4
Green chilies: 4-5 as per your taste
Curry leaves finely chopped
Ginger grated: 1/2 tsp
Garlic paste: 1 tsp
Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste

Chickpea flour batter-
Chickpea flour: 1 Cup
Salt
Red chilli powder: 1 tsp
Cooking Soda: 1/2 tsp
Water

Garlic Chutney Powder-
Boondi: 1/4 Cup
Garlic: 5-6 cloves
Salt
Red chili powder: 1 tbsp

Sauté all the ingredients of batata mixture and mash well. Make vadas from the batter. Blend the ingredients of garlic chutney powder. Enjoy the hot spicy vadas with fresh pav.
