What's going on in the thrift stores? Come thrift with me and find out...

So, I recently took a trip to a few thrift stores and I have to say it was quite an experience. I was surprised to find that the shelves were almost empty and the prices were higher than I expected. I mean, I get that some items are worth more, but dated nightstands and little vintage desks were $100's dollars... what!? It seems like more people are thrifting nowadays, and I think the stores are taking advantage by raising their prices.

Despite the high prices and packed stores, I did manage to find a couple of cute items. I found a little entry table for $65, a lamp for $20, and a dresser that could be repurposed for an entryway. I also came across a brass lamp that I really liked, but the line was too long, so I put it on hold. Should I go back for it or not?

At another store, I was disappointed to find that the shelves were almost completely empty. I'm not sure what was going on there, but it was a real letdown. At the last thrift store, I found a few Studio McGee items that were priced lower than what they would be in the store, but still a bit more expensive than I would have liked.
