Working Mechanism of Distributor type fuel injection pump used to pump pressurized fuel to IC Engine cylinders in definite order
In-depth description of parts of the injection pump, and function of each part.
Stator Casing houses the inlet and outlet ports.
The Rotor rotates within the stator. It has an inner cavity which intakes and stores fuel, and then ejects it as the holes coincide.
Plungers, placed within the cam ring, are responsible for creating the suction during intake, and the pressure during outlet.
