Isis from Egypt - and many other Egyptian gods- made her way to Rome in the Republican period. Her cult flourished in the imperial period, with a huge temple in the Campus Martius. She appeared elsewhere in imperial buildings as well as daily life, an accepted deity into the Roman pantheon.
