The biggest thing to consider when considering combining feeding - be that breastfeeding or bottle feeding - with slings or carriers is how old is your baby?  Below 6 months feeding in a sling or carrier will not be hands free nor brain free.  We can use a sling as support for your back or as portable breastfeeding pillow but we can not safely achieve hands free feeding.  This might be different after 6 months but even then we need to be paying attention to baby's airways

The reason for this are slings are only hands free and safe when baby is high and tight, and in order to feed we have to loosen the sling and lower it ... which means any feeding in slings is inherently risky and we need to ensure we are able to mitigate those risks.

Here I demonstrate feeding and talk through safety for 3 different carriers and show variations for keeping a baby below 6 months old safe and then show how this could look different once baby is older than 6 months.

I hope it helps and if you have any questions please do ask!
