Driving from Mumbai to Goa on scenic roads was wonderful and scary too! There were many check posts on the highway for Covid 19 tests and documentation, especially in Karnataka. From Mumbai, we passed through Navi Mumbai, Pune, Satara, Kolhapur and Belagavi before reaching Goa in the south. I drove for 650 Kilometers in one day in 13 hours, starting at 6 in the morning! The scary part was when Google Maps rerouted us for faster route through Bhimgad Wildlife Sanctuary. There was no one except me and 2 other cars for the entire one hour journey. Also, throughout my drive, I encountered uneven and bad road quality on quite a few stretches. Since, I have already driven in the states of Gujarat and Rajasthan I could easily tell road leading to Goa is no where close, such a shame. The only good patch is probably the Mumbai Pune Expressway followed by Pune Satara Road. Due to uneven roads, my overall mileage on this trip was mere 11Km/L whereas during my trip to Udaipur I achieved 12.5Km/L

In the entire trip, we came across 3 check posts asking for ID and covid 19 related documentation.

No issues with the car, performance was excellent. Power, thrill, overtaking - EcoSport makes you grin with so much under it's hood to tackle Indian highways.

Pro Tip: Personally, I think if I were to drive to Goa again, I'd leave by 5:00 am instead of 6:00 am during winters. During summer, it shouldn't matter as the day is longer.
