After signing his new contract, Mikel Arteta revealed that his enjoyment of working alongside ambitious people every day was the key reason for committing his future to the club.

And when pressed about why he was so keen to continue the project he undertook back in December 2019, he admitted that the support, drive and enthusiasm surrounding him every day was the biggest factor.
