Celebrity Reflection, June 2024! Join us for our first ever sailing on Celebrity Cruise Lines as we embark on a 3-night Bahamian adventure!

As a new-to-us cruise line, we were thrilled to board the Reflection. Embarkation day is generally a busy day but our arrival to Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale went rather seamlessly. Within a matter of minutes, we were on the ship. Sadly, there were no embarkation photo ops though there were a number of crew members welcoming us onto the ship.

We booked a Concierge Class room with what is described as a sunset verandah. Our room, 9305, was located in the aft of deck 9. Before heading to lunch, we were able to check out the room and drop off our carry-on items. As Concierge cruisers, a welcome aboard lunch was offered at Opus, the main dining room. Lunch was delicious with offerings including butternut squash soup, Caesar salad, penne pasta, grilled chicken and of course, dessert. The chocolate cake was fantastic while the apple pie was just ok. Service was prompt and efficient and we were pleased with our first dining experience on the ship.

We explored the interior decks of the ship due to the rainy weather. The Grand Foyer is the heart of the Reflection with entertainment offerings throughout the day and well into the evening hours. There are a number of shops, the Casino, art gallery and the theater as well as multiple bars all off the Foyer. We enjoyed some delicious gelato at Cafe al Bacio!

The rain finally let up by sail away time, so we took advantage of the views from our verandah. We loved seeing the city sky line fade away into the distance as we headed out to sea!

Evening festivities were soon underway on the ship. We headed to the theater for Broken Strings. This was a lively show filled with singing and dancing. The performers are very talented, and we enjoyed the show with exception of one segment which we found to be inappropriate, particularly for families like us, traveling with children.

We were back in the Opus dining room for late dining. Our server brought a lovely bread basket with dipping sauces before we had our appetizers. Keagan loved the butternut squash soup so much that he had it again while Brielle had the Caesar salad. We both ordered the wedge salad which was dressed with blue cheese table side. For main entrees, the kids both had rigatoni. Tim had the turkey parmesan and I tried the steak and fries. The entrees were all well received apart from my steak. Dessert is always the best part of any meal. Brielle and I had the creme brûlée which was creamy and delicious. Tim is always on the hunt for an amazing peach dessert. He enjoyed the peach clafoutis but it did not make his top dessert list. Keagan had the pb&j sundae from the children's menu which he enjoyed. Service was excellent and our servers were very kind and engaging.

Our first day onboard the Reflection went by far too quickly. We enjoyed our time together exploring the ship and overall, it was a great day. Perfect Day at Coco Cay is up next, so be sure to stay tuned! We certainly hope you enjoyed the vlog as we enjoyed sharing our day with you.
