I’ve always hit my driver a long way. Since it’s been a while since I’ve played my driver isn’t going nearly as far as it used to, but I can still knock it our there pretty good when I hit one well. When I was younger, I always wondered what it would be like to compete in a long drive competition, and so I challenged my good friend Lisa Vlooswyk to a friendly competition. I actually thought that, if I really hit a few good drives, I would actually have a chance win the competition. Just as we got started, we had one of those opportunities that I really think is important to take advantage of in life. As we were getting ready to tee it up, we saw a young man driving his wheelchair on the cart path. Lisa happened to know this young man, and then it happened... I met Spencer, a fan of golf, a fan of Lisa’s, and a fan of life. I decided in the moment to make Spencer an Honourary Member at Heritage Pointe. Although the long drive competition didn’t go the way I had hoped, we had a blast, and we did something good on this day. Welcome Spencer as the newest member of Heritage Pointe!
