Talk about kicking people when they're down. Flood victims go through absolute hell, and often all that keeps them going is the sure belief they could pick up the pieces and start again. But in the aftermath of the 2010-11 Queensland floods, the big insurance companies did everything they could to worm their way out of paying up. It's in the fine print, and it all comes down to the f-word - flooding.
