The Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth state of play video and playable demo exceeded everyone's expectations this week. It's an absolute masterclass on how to promote a game and generate hype. Why don't all games do this? Why don't they all have playable demos like this? The world would be a better place!

The state of play showed us just how big this game is going to be, not just in size but in ambition. The open world looks massive, covering areas such as Junon, Gongana, Nibel, Cosmo Canyon and more. There are tons of new mini games (not just as the Golden Saucer), over 400 new music tracks and of course the continuation of the epic storyline.

The playable demo covers the entire of the Nibelheim backstory where we get to see Sephiroth turn from a soldier into a murderous villain. There's about 2 hours of solid gameplay to be enjoyed in this playable demo so make sure you download it now! Square Enix are also dropping additional playable content in the coming weeks to cover some of the Junon area!
